One place where Lindependence 2008 is making somewhat of a splash is the land of my ancestors, Italy.
A blogger in Italy named ercolinux wrote two items — one here where he writes about Lindependence and one here where he translates the Declaration of Lindependence into Italian. Not a bad way to get publicity, albeit halfway around the world, and it is my hope that those in Italy who read about what we’re doing here will do an identical project in their communities.
Viva Italia!
Although this is not the first time that Lindependence 2008 has received international attention: Back when we first started this project, we had news coverage on a Web site in China. Of course, with my Chinese being virtually non-existent, I couldn’t read that either, but again it points to how this idea is spreading.
Incidentally, those buttons below are for the distros and programs that are participating in Lindependence 2008. I don’t yet have a button for Codeweavers, who is also in on Lindependence 2008 in a big way — guys, got one? — and WordPress gets a free ride because they provide me with the space for this blog.
79 and sunny (at 10 a.m.? It’ll be hot today)
